The QMI Pull-Down Storm Shutter is great for single-family homes or multi-family units. Rolling shutters have a clean, consistent look even when a multi-story building is completed in phases. QMI shutters roll into a small housing or box above the window or door opening and is designed to blend into the building’s natural architectural design. The unique design of the QMI Pull-Down shutter allows the shutters to roll up into a smaller housing than many other roller shutter products. QMI offers curved, beveled, or square housings to blend into your home’s architecture and comes in several colors to help match to your home’s natural color or trim. The QMI shutters have been engineered to protect very large windows or door openings, as large as 20 feet without a storm-bar. The SmartDrive battery pack for the QMI shutters allows the use of power through a battery system instead of the standard electric motor. This battery system allows for a No Power – No Problem mentality, as you can still access and use your shutters when the electricity is out through the SmartDrive battery pack. Our SmartDrive System features the Smart Drive Motor, just plug in to recharge. No electrician is necessary.  QMI also features a Manual Pull Down Shutter, which is simply a pull down shutter. Just grab the shutter with your hand and pull it down, lock it, and you’re finished. This is an exclusive feature of QMI shutters with no-slip hinges.
The QMI shutter is also available with an electric motor for all shutter sizes. It has an optional manual override, and advanced electrical control systems are available, as well. Draws 1.5 to 3.5 amps depending on size. The QMI shutter blades are AL6-E profile, which is one of the most versatile profiles. The AL6-E can be punched with one of five styles for both security and vision. The AL6-E has a patented retention system so that the slats are restricted from being pushed out of the sidetracks. It also rolls up in a more concentric roll, reducing the head room needed for the coil housing.  * Rated for up to 200 mph wind speeds
